Sunday Afternoon Fun

Corrine and I hosted Sunday dinner at our house this afternoon. I was in charge of the menu. We had a great 'breakfast' dinner - pancakes, eggs, bacon and OJ. It was yummy. With fresh strawberries Anna felt like she had made a crepe.

After dinner the kids went out back to play in the yard. I have my hammock stand set up but with no hammock. I brought out the one Garrett brought me back from El Salvador. Unfortunately for anyone over about 40 lbs, it isn't the best hammock, but for those like Mac, Carly & Anna, it was perfect!
I put Mac in it first. He was a little unsure, but as soon as he laid down he got a big smile on his face as we let him swing for a little while.
Anna was next. She is about the biggest you can be on this hammock. She only last a little bit before she felt the pole. It was good while it lasted!
Carly thought it was great. She wanted to stay longer but eventually she hit the bottom as well. However, I was glad I was finally able to use it! We all agreed it was perfect for Mac, Bryn & Hallie. And maybe Brad will want to use it soon. :)
Carly took a turn holding Brad. I loved this smile so much I had to take a picture! Brad was quite content as he got passed from each person. We had a great evening together! Now the reality of life . . . back to work in the morning.

Go Dodgers! My First Game of the Season

I got a phone call about 3:15 pm from McKay. A family from their ward had four tickets to tonight's game and offered them to McKay. With a new baby at home Rachel wasn't going to go out to the game. Mac has been sick and so McKay invited me to go with him and the girls. What a special treat.

On the way down the girls told me they were so excited I was coming. They were most excited because I would be the one taking them to the bathroom and they didn't have to use the 'icky' boys bathroom with dad. Gotta love it!

We had tickets on the Loge level down the right field line and foul pole. We told the girls we were in 'Andre Either territory'. About the 6th inning we moved down closer to home plate. Carly was so excited to sing. She asked me, "When do we get to stand and sing?". I love this picture of McKay and his girls singing!
We say McKay jinxed us because he mentioned in passing an extra innings game and that is exactly what we got. When we came up to bat in the bottom of the 10th McKay put on his rally hat. Carly loved it!
After the game was over and the Dodgers won McKay and the girls were yelling and screaming! It was so much fun! Anna was so excited we 'got to home first'. She was asking how we would know who won. Her dad said the next team to get home wins! Dodgers win!

We walked down to the railing after the game so we could see Corrine and Brock in their seats. Here we are with our victory smiles! That is 9-0 for the Dodgers at home this season! It gives them a tie for the record set back in the 40s with the Brooklyn Dodgers.

McKay and the girls knew exactly what number the Dodgers are -- NUMBER 1! Thanks for a fun evening Anna, Carly & McKay! Go Dodgers!
