Mac's the Big Boy Now!

Today I took Anna, Carly & Mac out to dinner and shopping. When I talked to McKay about it I told him I was willing to take all three if he wanted me to. In the past Mac hasn't gone on 'dates' with me because he was the 'baby' and stayed home. When I got to the house all three kids were ready to go! Their van was in the shop so McKay put the three seats in my back seat. Mac was so excited! He was the first one in the car and kept saying, "Mac, go - Mac go bye-bye". He made us all laugh!
Check out those smiles! We went to McDonald's for dinner. Mac did great! He loves french fries and was fun to have him with us. I did gain a new appreciation for mother's with three young children. It was quite a different experience to have all three on my own! Kudos to all of you doing it!

After dinner (and of course ice cream) we went to Target. The kids helped me pick out gifts for their cousins. We picked out coloring books, baseball cards, a DVD and some 'kisses' to send to the Birds and the Yuba City Barlows. It was so fun to watch them get excited. When they saw a dinosaur coloring book the girls got so excited - Jared will love this one - they said! Mac picked out the Camarillo Barlows' family DVD - it was a Barney movie. The girls reaction was priceless! This is the first time they haven't been the one picking out items. Usually they pick and so they get what they want. They were hilarious to listen to when they realized, "I guess we have to let Mac have some turns too and we have to get a boy movie". Priceless!

It was a memorable experience and mom and dad got some alone time with baby Brad while we were gone. When we got home Mac didn't want to get out of the car. He had a great time. I know I have a 'buddy' whenever I want one. :)
